Step It Up! - Saturday, April 14th
Posted: Friday, March 23, 2007
SPI is pleased to announce our first service-politics project, in partnership with the Step it Up campaign, the 10% Challenge, the Burlington Electric Department and VPIRG, Saturday, April 14th in Burlington!
We will begin with a discussion about global climate change, energy efficiency and politics with leaders from the Burlington Electrical Department, the 10% Challenge and VPIRG.
Then, we will go door to door in small teams, distributing high-efficiency light bulbs to residents in affordable housing neighborhoods to help them save money on energy costs and to decrease our community's ecological footprint.
When: Saturday, April 14th, from 12:30-3:30pm
Where: Meet under the canopy at Union Station in downtown Burlington
Who: You, your representatives and other concerned Vermonters
What: An afternoon of direct service combined with political action
We look forward to an afternoon of action and advocacy with you!
