"It was just an overwhelming day, and you ought to see my roof. It is completely done and it's wonderful. It's just wonderful. SPI did a fantastic job."

"I had a great time with the DREAM kids planting a vegetable garden. I liked being able to work on an issue and then have the chance to learn more about it. And I got to dig in the dirt with my Congressman!"

"I've done a lot of jobs, and received pretty good money for my work before. But none of it was as rewarding as getting a handshake and a thank you from Dave."

I liked that everyone stayed all day, even after the project was officially over, to finish the work on the roof. It made me feel that, although we were there to bring attention to an important issue (veterans) we were also really there to get concrete work done. It was very rewarding to have all the trusses up by the end of the day.
